Can a FlexWan (WS-X6182-2PA) be installed and work in CAT4006 or 4500 with the SUP4 or SUP5? I'm pretty sure that the answer is NO but can anyone confirm this for me?
Thanks.

No. There is no WAN support in CAT4000 series switches. Also, no line card from CAT6k series can go into a 4k series switch and vice-versa.

There is a specific flexwan module for the 4500; part number is WS-X4604-GWY= and then you can add whatever WAN mods you want. I used one and put 2 PA-4T's in it. The only thing I didnt like about it was that you had to console and/or telnet into it separately to configure it
