Hi,

I've correctly setup a default gateway on my switch that points to a FW.

I've seen in my FW logs a ping generated by the switch every second to the default gw (in this case my Fw interface). Of course, my Fw drops these packets.

Is there a way to turn off this continous ping to the default GW ?

Is Multiple default gateway feature enabled on your switch? If the MDG feature is enabled, the switch will ping its default gateways every ten seconds to verify that they are available. If it is, try disabling Multiple default gateway feature
