Hi
In simple terms HSRP (plain vannila config) takes care of redundancy but still you can have load balancing with different local sub group configs.
This can be done by partioning your local lan subnet.
GLBP does take care of both redundancy as well as load balancing without any additional grouping config as you require with HSRP.
If you go in detail there are few terminlogy differences as you call the devices configured with HSRP or GLBP..

hi carl,
in HSRP u r having one router is in active conndition and other one is in standby condition...means if you have two isp connection then by using HSRP u are using only single link for communication of active router where as the other link which is conncected to the standby router u cannot used for communication...it mean the other link will remain unusable....as one link is not in use so u will not have loadbalancing kind of thing...
where as in GLBP you are having facility to utilies the bandwidth of both the link...and u will have load balanceing across both the link...as well as u will have redundancy also...
please rate the post if it helps

Hi Carl,
Its not hard nor its big but you just need to understand the concept and apply it.
Go through this link to understand it first and then check the section as "how to configure GLBP" from this link
