Help on VxLAN EVPN Configuration on Catalyst 9500-32C

Attempting to configure VxLAN EVPN on a pair of Catalyst 9500-32C's for a Proof of concept. No joy so far. Been referencing these links:

Any suggestions? 

Main goal is to bridge a single VLAN and have 2 hosts communicate across the VTEPs.

yes i think they are layer 3 interface, but you could use loopback address. it does not matter

I'm also trying to achieve this configuration. Has anyone ever run into the following error when trying to configure the NVE interface?

% Can't configure L2DP VNIs on NVE interface with CP or CP VNI configured

More specifically I get this when trying to configure the "member vni 11001 ingress-replication"

Figured it out - Catalyst 9K is the minimum hardware platform I was on a 3650 with DNA Advantage Licensing and 16.12.2. Once I swapped to 9300 - worked straight away.
