I recently purchased a c3750 that will not boot it turns on but no output from the console the screen is complete blank and black when I hit enter nothing happens. I did some reading and found that some users had to open the switch and apply heat (with a heat gun) to the memory area of the mother board so I tried it and the device booted up fine. The switch performed as it was intended to.
My question is can I RMA this devices even if I wasn't the original purchaser? is there a fix to it?

You can try resetting factory, and you see still no screen on the console, iam sure it might have failed device.
You can raise RMA with Csico only if this is covered warranty or smartnet,
Opening the kit is Cisco violate the warranty. do it at your risk.
