Help with catalyst 4500 10 slot chasis

Hi,

I have purchased a WS-c4510r chasis with 2 supervisor engines WS-x4013+ and have just discovered that these supervisor II+ engines are not supported in this 10 slot chasis.(They are supported in all other chasis sizes but only the supervisor V is supported 10 slot). Does anyone know if there is some way to enable these WS-x4013+ to work in this chasis. Any help would be very much appreciated as my job in very much in doubt as i spent Euro7k on the wrong equipment and as the purchase agreement states - no goods can be returned.

Unfortunately no. The Sup2+ does not have the required backplane capacity for a 4510. Only Sup5 and Sup5-10GE Supervisors are supported in a 4510R chassis

So sad to hear that you had purchase WS-X4013+ to use with 4510R. Yes 4510R support only SupV and SupV-10GE.

WS-X4013+ able to be used with 4507R in redundancy mode. You should consider trade-off 3slots for sup2+ to work. Your vendor should able to help you on this.

Further more for what vendor let you buy this together or else?
