How to do preventative maintenance on 5500?

Please, no flaming..... We have a load of 5500s in the closets and they are full of dust. Our management wants me to show them documented vendor-specific "preventive maintenance procedures". huh....? I have called Cisco, people just sort of chuckle at my request...

Can someone point me in the right direction?
