how to enable or activate tcl on a router with IOS 12.4(24)

I have two routers:

Router1: 2801-ipbasek9-12.4(24)T2

Router2: 2800nm-ipbasek9-12.4(24)T3

If I issue the tcl command on Router 1, I get:

Router1-GW#tclsh
Router1-GW(tcl)#

If I issue the tcl command on Router 2, I get:

Router2-GW#tclsh
Translating "tclsh"

% Bad IP address or host name
% Unknown command or computer name, or unable to find computer address
Router2-GW#

Why does router2 not have the tcl scripting engine?

Sometime, cisco "forgets" to include certain features, in certain images.

In your case, I would update to 15.0(1)M4, (that is designated as "Maintenance Deployment") ,or as second choice, to 12.4(24)T4 and check again.
