Hi,
I´m a Networkengineer and CiscoWorks2000admin, and we have two NAM2-modules in our Cat6513. I would like adding this NAM Modules, but I have then Device Attribute Errors "Local User: Incorrect". Now my Question: Is that action correct or must I NAM-Modules differently adding in RME then normal devices.Or Should I enable Telnet/SSH access on NAM and How to do so? My NAM2 has the softwareversion 3.3.1.
thanks
marcel

Telnet is disabled by default on NAM CLI. To enable it, login to the NAM CLI and execute the command "excession on", which will enable telnet. To enable SSH, you need to install the strong crypto patch for NAM from CCO first. And then you cazn enable both https and ssh on the NAM.

thanks rmushtag,
it seems that i'm a blind networkengineer, because i look many times on my NAM and cant't find the appropriate command to enable remote access. :-)
I have a second question. Can I configure another local user then root on NAM?
thanks

No. Can only create web users. CLI users are only root and guest which are fixed.

how do CiscoWorks2000 manage the NAM, if RME can't accessing the NAM via SSH whith user root?
