Hi,
I want to be able to see when a interface (switch-port) has last changed its status (eg. from connected to "not connected").
I thought this should be able through "ifLastChange"-MIB-value but this seems not to be correct or not the port-status-change.
I have CATOS 6.3(3) and it is the same value for all ports.
Any suggestions,
regards Chris

According to this: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/wr2k/tech/cnm_rg.htm
ifLastChange - Description - Monitor unexpected port configuration changes
Reason to Monitor - Detects when administrators make portconfiguration changes. Normal changes should be ignored.
Check Table 12 and Table 15 from that page regarding ifEntry.ifOperStatus and moduleEntry.modulePortStatus

Hi,
thanks.
Is it possible to get the time of last join or left of the port with this Staus-strings. I think I will only get the actual status and not how long the port is in that status till now..
I want to know which ports had no link status change since the last two month so that I know what patch cords are no longer used and so that I can reuse the switchports (many users/technician do not remove patch cords from switches -> "lost ports").
Regards,
Chris
