Hi Sir,
I'm working on a Catalyst 2950. Its default VTP domain is NULL and VTP mode is Transparent.
I changed the VTP domain using the following global config command:
Switch(config)#vtp domain <domain_name>
How to revert the VTP domain back to the default NULL string?
Thank you.
B.Rgds,

Hello Lim,
NULL is just a name, to change it back, just type VTP domain NULL.
As an alternative, you could reset the switch to factory defaults, check this document for the procedure:
Resetting Catalyst Switches to Factory Defaults

11 years later...
VTP domain "null" is NOT just a name!!!!
If you do "vtp domain null" you're actually setting the VTP domain name to null, just like you'd do for any other names, which is different from the factory "null", which means that it is actually NOT set to anything.
Reply above is correct that you should delete VLAN.dat.

Deleting vlan.dat and reloading would do the trick. Keep in mind this nukes all your vlans too.
