Hi,
the ticker window in our Cisco Works 2000 is not updateing - my assumption is that this has something to do with our internet access which is using a proxy. Proxy Server was entered in "Resource Manager Essentials > Administration > System Configuration" and is working fine if clicking on a CCO link.

This is the URL from where the ticker is updated:
http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/netmgmt/text/cwnews.txt
It updates automatically from Cisco.com every 24hrs. Or you can stop and then restart the JRunProxyServer to see if it gets updated or not. pdterm JRunProxyServer, pdexec JRunProxyServer from the CLI.
However if you have a proxy in between, make sure you configured it on RME -> Administration -> Server Configuration -> Proxy URL. If it still does not work with the Proxy, then,
CSCea62163: 'ticker window does not work with proxy' is also a known issue. Hope this helps.

Proxy URL was entered as "ip:port" but the ticker window is not updateing. Looking in Software Bug Toolkit for CSCea62163 is currently not showing a solution - unfortunatly.
