Intermittent conectivity on 2950 switch

Hi All, Please excuse this newbie question but I am having a problem with connection to a 2950 switch from an IPCop linux firewall. most of the time it connects fine but occasionaly it drops the connection, especially undeer load.

Anyone know of any issues with IPCop and a 2950 switch?

Are you seeing any logs in the switch except up/down messages ?

Unfortunately the switch is managed by the business park we are located on so I don't see anything however the guy who manages the switch says there is nothing shown on the switches at all. I've also connected another firewall (Netgear RP614) to test and all works fine. Not a lot of help I know. I was really just asking if anyone knew of any problems connecting an IPCop linux firewall to the 2950 series of switches. I will gladly take any advice anyone wishes to impart but as to what is happening on the switch I can only go by what the business park tell me.
