Hello,
I have built a LAN with four Cat 2950G as access switchs and a Cat 3750G-24TS as backbone switch.
But the 3750G switch is running IOS release 12.1(14)EA1a and the 2950G switchs are running release 12.1(22)EA1, so I am experiencing trouble managing the cluster with cat 3750G as command switch.
I have tried to download a later release of IOS for Cat 3750G but I am only registered as a guest so I can't access IOS upgrade files for 3750G.
Can any body help me to get IOS uprade file for cat 3750G later than release 12.1(20).
Many thanks.

If you are running the switches as access and backbone, then I don't think you can run them as a cluster. A cluster is a single logical switch.
Also, I don't think you can mix switch types in a cluster, although I am willing to be corrected on this point.

Of course yes, you can build a cluster by mixing almost avery type of catalyst switchs.
Because a cluster consist of a master switch and several members switchs, you can manage the entire cluster directly from the master switch. Furthermore, you can use a single IP adress for the whole cluster.
The only restriction is in the choice of the master switch which must be the most powerfull one (in my exemple, the cat 3750G is the master switch and the cat 2950Gs are the member switchs) and it also must have the latest release of IOS in order to have full management capabilities over every switch of the cluster.

OK, I get it. Sorry, I haven't played with clusters to any extent yet, but I'm learning from your posting!

Hello.
I think you have confused cluster and stack because stacked switchs are working as one switch.

You're right, I had better go and do some reading. Sorry.
