I have problem with packetsize on network using GRE/IPsec. This usualy goes away with ip tcp adjust-mms command on tunnel interface.

It looks like cat6500 does not support this command on tunnel interface to resolve problem with packetsize.

Is there any other substitute ?

Any version av IOS for 6500 which supports this command ?

ip mtu does not help with this problem

<0-10000> MSS

Thank you for response.

It's sup2:

Mod Ports Card Type Model Serial No.

--- ----- -------------------------------------- ------------------ -----------

1 2 Catalyst 6000 supervisor 2 (Active) WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE SAL0824A3T2

2 2 IPSec VPN Accelerator WS-SVC-IPSEC-1 SAD081209E1

3 16 SFM-capable 16 port 1000mb GBIC WS-X6516A-GBIC SAL081230A2

I do have option for that command. Does it affect all traffic on the switch/router ?

Main goal is to force end stations running xp and win2003 to change theres mss and mtu.

Will this command make it possible ?

It runs IOS 12.2(17d)SXB1 with configured ACL, OSPF, GRE and IPsec.

I don't get it.

Cisco doc says that ip tcp mss command affects only TCP sessions generated from and terminated by router.

Will this help with all sessions passing through router as well ?
