is it possible to break/change the enable passowrd of a cat6509 without reloading the switch.
we have forgotten the password
currently we have the 1st level password.

No, the only way to change the enable password is to perform the standard password recovery proceedure.
If you could recover the enable password otherwise, what would be the point in having the enable password?
