Hi,

Can someone explain the difference between Traffic Shaping Carrier Access Module for a LS 1010 and configuring tx and rx pcr,scr,mbs and cdvt values via the connection-traffic-index on the 1010?

The TSCAM is used for traffic shaping where as the connection traffic table row index is used to police. Policing is used to provide limits on cell rates, shaping is used to conform to those limits. For example, you would traffic shape on a device that feeds into a vc that is policed.
