Link down using Linux or Windows XP with Catalyst 3500XL

Hi, my customer has a great park of catalyst 3500XL and us we are facing a strange problem in the installation of new machines in the network, therefore, machines DELL with Windows NT or Linux United present problems with its network interfaces. In the machines Windows XP and Linux United the interfaces alone function if configured with 10M half/full. The Catalysts are 3524XL and I use software 12.0(5.3)WC(1).

You mean those NICs don't work as 100/full? Are 3550 interfaces in auto mode or hard coded 100/full?

Yes, my NICs don´t work as 100/full. They only work when I set them to 10/Full or 10/half and the Catalyst interface in autoselect. The NIC is a Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter and I already using the last driver. I trying to contact intel about this to look this.
