We've got a small network with a webserver in the DMZ behind a PIX 515. We are planning on adding some more webservers in the DMZ for load balancing. How do we load balance between servers with only one IP address? What technologies are available from Cisco to do this? I read about the LocalDirector thing and that seems to be what we need, but it's end-of-life. Is there something new out there? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Hello,
the LocalDirector has been replaced with the IOS Server Load Balancing feature. This feature allows load balancing between servers, using a virtual server IP address.
Check this document for configuration information:

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. After glancing at that article, it looks that this feature is only available on higher end cisco equipment? I can't use this feature within Catalyst 2900 series switches or 2600 series routers?

CSS Content Switches should do the job.
