We have a Sup1a-2ge, with 64mb ram. We need to upgrade to be able to use the newer versions of code. I've seen on the Cisco site,that there is an upgrade kit to upgrade the MSFC to 128mb ram. If you have the Sup1a-msfc, it is not field upgradable. Since we have the Sup1a-2ge, is it field upgradable. I've heard that in upgrading the memory, the MSFC is damaged and should be replaced, which means buying a different upgrade kit that includes an MSFC2.
What are the upgrade options for the Sup1a-2ge with and MSFC?
