I was told by someone that there was a command on the 3850-12x that you could enable 10g on a GLC-TE sfp, but I haven't been able to find anything that says that is possible. Has anyone done this?

I need to enable jumbo frames on a pair of Nexus 5k's that sit between UCS B chassis and Netapp Storage. If I enable it globally using service policy, how will it affect other things connected to the 5k's that aren't using jumbo frames?

Applied Patch 4 to ISE1.2.1.198 on primary admin node, but has not installed on all the other nodes. (I have primary and secondary admin nodes, 2 policy nodes and 2 m&t nodes)

Yes, I know the SFP is supported in the switch. My question is can you make it a 10g port with that module. When SFP is inserted, it say 10/100/1000. Supposedly there is a command to enable 10g with some cli command.

I ended up doing a manual install on each node from the CLI. You'll need to create a repository on each node before doing the manual install.

Thanks Stephen, from that it sounds to me that if I enable jumbo frames system wide on the 5k, only devices that are configured on their end will use jumbo frames and devices connected to the switch that are configured for mtu 1500, will still use 15...
