Hello All,
I wanted to ask ...(might be a too basic doubt)
"Can i connect an ordinary modem on a NM-8A/S interface".

Yaa u can, you have to go in for DB60(A/S)-to-RS232(Modem) cable
that will do the job

NM-8A/S as the name suggest is a 8 port Async/Sync module. So you can connect a modem for async communication. You need to use "physical layer async" command under the serial interface to make it perform as async interface. Here is the url fore more on that
