monitor port on a 2948G-L3

Hi,

I need to sniff the traffic on a vlan of a 2948G-L3.

How do i configure a port in monitor mode on a 2948G-L3?

"monitor session" is not in the command list of the 2948G

L3 Switch/Router Software (CAT2948G-IN-M), Version 12.0(25)W5(27c)

monitor command is a global config command and not interface specific. So try to see in the Global config mode if the command is there.

I checked there also with no success.

I am wondering if this option is simply not supported on this model.

2948-L3 is more like a router and does not have SPAN/Port monitor capabilities.
