Can you multicast on a CISCO 3750 without configuring or enabling PIM?

By default, if all ports are in vlan 1 (or same vlan), multicast traffic should be send out all ports of the 3750. This can happen without enabling multicast routing on the switch.

Here is what I am trying to do:

Say you have Router/switch Cissco 3750 configured as follows:

Has no PIM or DVMRP enabled or configured.

It has several Vlans and subnets attached to it.

It has several hosts on it that want to receive/send multicast.

This router needs to recieve multicast messages from other network routers and send these messages to its attached hosts who wish to recieve them.

Is this doable? If so how?

To constrain multicast traffic only to hosts which need them, you might want to enable multicast routing and enable PIM under the VLAN interface/s.
