i am using a 3550 12G Switch, i would like to implement a Multicasting, if i connect a source with a port 12, and other all 11 ports are connected with a switches 2950, will i configure a 11 ports as a mvr Receiver or not

short answer to your question, YES, you will configure the 11 ports as MVR Receivers.
NOTE: a receiver port CANNOT belong to the multicast VLAN.
