My customer has a 6509 with a NAM card in slot 9.
If you do a 'sh vlan' for vlan1, ports Gi 9/1 to 9/5 are in vlan1.
From the switch console if you try to change to the port in conf t mode, you get
'This mode not available for these ports'
Is it possible to change the vlan of the NAM 'virtual' ports, and if so how ?

What is the NAM model?. Is the 6509 running CatOS or IOS/NativeIOS?.
If this is a NAM-1/2, then for CatOS, you do not need to configure a VLAN as the NAM management port because that port automatically synchronizes to the VLAN assigned to interface sc0 on the supervisor engine. Note: You cannot set the NAM management port VLAN with the set vlan mod/port command.
If this is NativeIOS, then to configure a VLAN for the NAM management port, you must use the analysis module mod_num management-port access-vlan vlan_id command.
If this is the old WS-X6380-NAM, then for CatOS, then same as above. You do not need to configure a VLAN as the NAM management port because that port automatically synchronizes to the VLAN assigned to interface sc0 on the supervisor engine.
For NativeIOS, you must configure a VLAN for the NAM management port using the switchport access vlan vlan-number command. This is only if the NAM is running 2.x and earlier code. For 3.x and later, the command is analysis module mod_num management-port access-vlan vlan_id

Thanks,
it is running IOS v12.2.14 SX1
The 'analysis module mod_num management-port access-vlan vlan_id' command should do the trick.
