NAT on GRE tunnel interface?

Anyone know if it is possible to perform NAT on a tunnel interface without using IPSEC? I am trying to do the following:

int e0

IP nat inside

int tunnel0

IP nat outside

Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

Yes. That's completely legitimate. I have several locations in my network using that exact configuration.
