Native IOS on Cat6500

Hi

a couple of questions:

1. Can i load the latest IOS on a SE2 that does not have the 256M upgrade if i dont need large number of routes/addresses etc. ?

2. If i want to upgrade a Cat6500 from hybrid to native IOS what do i need to do ?

You can check for the memory requirements depending on what routing protocols you use in the release notes

I suggest that you upgrade memory to make it a supported configuration(memory is not that expensive these days). You can find the conversion procedure on CCO at
