Network Monitoring Tools

Hi all,

I have 3 locations connected via F/R and leased lines(back-up) and each location has its own huge LANs. I need to make some optimization on my switches and routers. So I need to collect some information about traffics that I have on switches & routers. Any recommendations ?

Try MRTG. It's totally free, not very difficult to implement and show results via web interface. It provides input and output traffic graphs per port, interface, dlci,etc. It works fine for me (including big cisco switches and routers).
