Greetings
I just added a new fastethernet interface to my 2811 router. The lights come up fine when you plug something into and everything. But it doesn't show up in the IOS or when you do a show configuration. Here is my info:
IOS Version 12.3(8)T4
Network Interface Card NM-1FE2W-V2
Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello,
unfortunately, the card is not supported on the 2811 router. Check this link and scroll down to Table 3 for the hardware support matrix:

Thanks a bunch!
I'm going to have to get on the company we got this from then. I looked at other network modules but I didn't see any to get another ethernet port for the 2811. Is there one that can do this for the 2811?

Hello,
AFAIK, there is no such module...the two integrated FE ports are the maximum.
Check thsi link for all compatible cards and modules:

Okay, the company we bought the 2811 from did in fact call Cisco and the Cisco rep told them the wrong one to send. Course, this is all coming from the horses mouth and may not be true and the guy is trying to cover his tail. Anyway, the one that will work he said actually has four ports! Wow! And it's $1200 cheaper. That module I had was very pricey! So, all is well. Thanks so much GP!
