I have a Bank Customer who we provide a cisco 804 isdn router to one of the Bank's teleworkers. The Bank is using a Nortel VPN client on a laptop behind the 804 router. Internet is PPP thru Earthlink. An cisco 802 was working at this site until a lightning strike made it inoperable. We replace the 802 with an 804 we had in stock. We copied our config from the 802 onto the 804. I can use my Nortel VPN client to access my corporate intranet, but the Bank 's VPN connection drops right after authentication is successful. Only the hardware has changed. The Bank has asked that the ISDN router be set to bridge mode instead on routed w/ PAT.
Is it simple to change the 804 to a PPP bridged connection to an ISP, or would doing a static one to one NAT with routing work if PAT is the culprit?
