Obtaining IP address from DHCP server suffers from "unicast-flood enable"

Hello!

We have Catalyst 6506 with CatOS 7.6 (1).

When we enable unicast-flood on port then our PCs receive IP addresses from DHCP very slowly (within 30 sec.)

PXE boot suffers from it most of all.

For example, we use nect command:

set port unicast-flood 3/48 enable.

Thank you for any help!

unicast flood blocking can be enabled on a per-port basis. if this is enabled on a port, there must be a static CAM entry that is associated with the ethernet port before you enable UFB.

verify you have a static cam entry with the 'show cam static' command. if not, create one and try again.

also, if the port is configured for security, there are a few things to note as in the second link.

see this link for more details:

May be I have described our problem not correctly...

Command "set port unicast-flood mod/port enable" will DISABLE unicast flood blocking. According to your links there is no need to have CAM static entry in this case...

Any solution?
