Optical power budget of GBIC

Hi!

Anyone know how optical power of GBIC modules reduce after year or more year of work?

From my experience with equipment of another vendors about 1-2 dbm per year

What about Cisco?

I am not pretty sure whether CIsco GBIC modules also have a reduction in the power budget.

i was just browsing the forums and this question peaked my intrested. i'm sorry i don't have an answer for you, but i was hoping you could answer a question for me. what do you mean by your question? power reduction?

I seriously doubt 1-2 dbm a year loss on any Cisco GBIC (actually that seems quite odd that any GBIC has that kind of loss in a years time).
