I'd like to know what difference is between "LAN" and "WAN" GE port on this card.

I'd like to use this card in MPLS/VPN PE router. Two GE ports to P routers and four to CE's. Is this scenario supported?

The LAN ports are regular 6500 type L2/L3 ports.

They cannot be used for MPLS (no VRFs, no LDP/TDP).

Only the WAN ports can be used for MPLS.

The Sup720 supposedly will change this picture -

but the IOS to use Sup720 with MPLS is not available

yet, as far as I know.
