I am running an IPTV-Server. Therefore, the routers are enabled for ip multicast-routing and the interfaces are in ip pim sparse-dense-mode.Some stub routers do not have any IPTV-Clients behind. Multicasting is not configured on this routers. But this seems to be a problem: This routers do not establish an eigrp adjacency with those neighbors enabled for multicasting (the show ip eigrp neighbor output is empty). If multicasting is enabled on the stub routers as well, the adjacencies will be established. Can someone explain this strange behavior?ThanksEdgar

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, its often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
Thank you for posting.

Suggestion: This sounds like a multicast problem, and not something that I would expect. Try pinging 224.0.0.10 (eigrp's address) while this is happening (broken). If you don't get a response, it's most likely an issue with the addresses the chip is configured to listen for. The best place for this, in the long run, is going to be the tac.
