port hanging issue( Cisco vs Intel)

Hi everyone,

I am facing a typical problem with one of the links. The scanario is as follows:

I have a channelised E1 on my Cisco 7206 router and i have defined timeslot 27th (64k link) for a client. The client has asscom modem and Intel router. My problem is that 4-5 times a day the port gets hanged and after we do shut and no shut, the traffic starts to flow. I am using PPP encapsulation as client end is Intel router and intel supports PPP .Is there anyone who can give a workaround to this problem.
