problem using squeeze command

I have a cisco 3660 (R527x) running C3660-JS-MZ_122-17.BIN image file.

I have deleted a file from flash

router#sh flash:

System flash directory:

File Length Name/status

1 12449664 c3660-js-mz.121-5.T4 [deleted]

2 13366336 C3660-JS-MZ_122-17.BIN

[25816128 bytes used, 7738304 available, 33554432 total]

32768K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

In order to release the memory space occupied by the deleted file, i enter the squeeze command. But i have an error message:

router#squeeze flash:

Squeeze operation may take a while. Continue? [confirm]

first create squeeze log by erasing the entire device

%Error squeezing flash (Unknown error 0)

Does someone know what this error message mean exactly? is there another way to release the memory space ocupied?

Thanks

The only way to recover from that is to do as it says; erase the flash and reload what you need. Not sure why this happens.
