I have been presented with the following output from the command
'show ip topology summary'
I am very interested in the Quiescent interfaces and what this really means. Interfaces that are quiet or doing nothing?
I can not find much information on this within the Cisco doc.
Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
MSFC>sh ip eigrp top sum
IP-EIGRP Topology Table for AS(1)/ID(10.16.0.1)
Head serial 1, next serial 58592553
1411 routes, 0 pending replies, 1 dummies
IP-EIGRP enabled on 11 interfaces, neighbors present on 8 interfaces
Quiescent interfaces: Vl52 Vl75 Vl55 Vl84 Vl90 Vl910 Vl85 Vl2

Quiescent interfaces are interfaces on which there are no outstanding queries, replies, or updates.

They are interfaces that are "quiet" in the moment, they are not sending EIGRP packets (except hellos), this output can be very useful in a troubleshooting scenario.
For more details i recommend to watch the Cisco Live Session (Troubleshooting EIGRP Networks - BRKRST-2331)
