recommended debug command

I am troubleshooting a router that hangs randomly. when it does hang, the serial interface shows constant acitvity and all interfaces (including the console port) are unresponsive.

i am looking for which debug commands may help resolve this issue.

I wouldn't even worry about the debug commands. What I would do is first upgrade the firmware on the router and see if that fixes the proplem. Second I would start swapping out the interfaces. My guess it is going to be a hardware problem.
