When i connect three 3750 in stack (also with retrun cable) only one Switch stay powerd-up by RPS when i disconnect Power Supply Cable from more than one switch.

Examples:

SW 1 PS connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 2 PS connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 3 PS connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 1 PS not connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by RPS

SW 2 PS connected RPS,connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 3 PS connected RPS,connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 1 PS not connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by RPS

SW 2 PS not connected,RPS connected: Down

SW 3 PS connected RPS,connected: Powered-up by PS

SW 1 PS not connected,RPS connected: Powered-up by RPS

SW 2 PS not connected,RPS connected: Down

SW 3 PS not connected,RPS connected: Down

The same thing happen if i start with SW2, SW2 stay up and the others goes down.

Is it possible that RPS consider the stack as a single device and does not respond at the following

PS failure ?

3750 IOS is: Version 12.1(19)EA1c

This is the correct behaviour. Please refer the following link for more information.

"The RPS 300 automatically senses when a connected device has experienced an internal power supply failure and seamlessly and immediately begins to supply power to the device, providing continuous uptime with no need to reboot. When the RPS is supplying power to a device, it cannot provide power to another device until the failed device's power supply unit is replaced, or the device is replaced, and the RPS is returned to active mode."

The 675 RPS can only supply power to a single (failed) device at one time. However, to get the original failed device ( in your case, the switch that you first disconnected power) to failback to it's internal power supply, you must push the active/standby button on the front of the RPS. This has one unhappy consequence however, as the switch that 'fails back' will reboot.

I got same "problem", which 3750 switch will reboot after AC power back and I put RPS to standby. Is it normal behavior of RPS design???
