Seperate 2 pools of VLANs on dual 3550 HSRP/EIGRP topology ?

I have a set of VLANs for one group and another set for a second group.

I need to keep these 2 groups seperate from seeing one another while also enabling routing and HSRP within each pool across the two 3550's.

Unsure of simplier way than resorting to ACLs.

You can use vlan maps for this. VLAN maps can access-control all traffic. You can apply VLAN maps on the switch to all packets that are routed into or out of a VLAN or are bridged within a VLAN. VLAN maps are used strictly for security packet filtering..With VLAN maps, forwarding of packets is permitted or denied, based on the action specified in the map.

I tried VLAN maps when it seeemed to have exhausted the switch by the following dump :

No time left. We resorted to using a third router to do one pool and the two 3550's to provide the other redundant pool.
