Set up logging on 3640 dialin access server

I am having problems with a couple of dialin access routers. They are 3640s. One server is dropping connections after just a few minutes. The other has single mica modems getting flagged as "bad" now and then.

I would like to set up logging on both, but I need some ideas on what to debug and how to send the data to an internal file server.

Thanks.

For the router dropping connections, it could

be related to interesting traffic not defined

appropriately. A config will give us more clues. For the MICAs going BAD problem, make

sure you have portware 2.7.3.0 running on

them.

Here is the place you will find the document for "troubleshooting modems"

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/471/index_14280.html

Now to troubleshoot "dropping connections", try to increase the idle-timeout.

If you are getting the mica modem BAD frequently, try to open a case for that and get the help from cisco's tac engineers.
