Setting up a trunk connection between 2 - 6500s

I was wondering what I need to do to properly configure the two GB interfaces on the sup. engines of a pair of 6500s to have them work properly as one pipe between the two. I am not real familiar with the proper syntax on CatOS and was hoping someone could give me some feedback on this.

Do I need to use the 'set port channel' and 'set trunk' commands? Anything else?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

You can connect the 2 switches using the etherchannel with the 2GB ports.You need to use only the Set port channel command if you have a flat network only with one VLAN. If you have multiple Vlan then define the ports as the trunk ports.
