When i tried to discover a circuit on a router 'A' using Nethealth server(on firewall), it doesnt respond to SNMP requests. But another circuit on router 'B', which is in same Vlan as router A, was discovered by Nethealth. The snmp configs are similar on both the routers. The firewall doesnt have any rules for snmp. Please help.

This could be one of the following issues:

--Router A is too busy to take care of SNMP business because SNMP process is treated as a low priority task.

--Router A has a version of IOS that might have SNMP bugs. Check bug tool to see if your version of IOS has any known issues with SNMP.

--Router A has a slower link to NetHealth server, try to increase Nethealth SNMP timeout value (say 30 seconds) for a test.

Hope this helps.

Suggest looking at Linmor www.linmor.com

It's an SNMP perf. monitor and can partition your network devices.
