SNMP Traps for detection of failed power supply

We have a HP NNM which is not picking up traps for a failed power supply in a 3662. Other Traps are coming through and the NNM manager is just one hop away. Do the Environ traps trigger in the event of a power supply failure?

The config is

snmp-server community xxxx RO 2

snmp-server community xxxx RW 2

snmp-server trap-source Loopback0

snmp-server enable traps config

snmp-server enable traps envmon

snmp-server enable traps frame-relay

snmp-server host x.x.x.x public

snmp-server host x.x.x.x public

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/snmp_traps.html is a good starting point. You may want to start from here.

I've had a look at this document but it does not definitively state whether the Environ trap reports Power supply failures. Is there any resource that points me in this direction?

Yes, http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/SNMP/snmp_traps.html does provide detailed info on wht kind of traps are available under the envmon MIB for the router and you can look at the object definition for more details. The closest that you can get from the this MIB is the ciscoEnvMonRedundantSupplyNotification trap.
