We have a 3640 NAS Server with Analog Modem Module on our Network for Dial-in users. For a long time the speed of connection to this equipment went of 40K, but for a time the speed has gone down to 32K. We believe that this descent of speed is due to the fact that a few months ago I change this 3640 into other one due to an effect, but the software that had before was 12.0 ( 9 ) IP PLUS and after the change of hardware there were left 12.0 ( 7 ) XK1 IP. We want to recover the speed of connection of 40 K it seems to you that it can be due to the SW? One is necessary to put version IP PLUS to return to 40K? Thank you very much...

What was the modem portware with the older box (the present one shows 2310 ....MICA-6DM Firmware: CP ver 2310).
IP or IP Plus should not make a difference, can you please try to upgrade the portware to atleast 2740.

To begin with let's go with the theory that you only changed the equipment but nothing changes in the telco lines.
Thanks, Mak.
