strange power supply problems with Cat-2980G-A

We have a Cat-2980G-A connected to an RPS 300. Yesterday, the log on that switch started showing the following messages:

Power supply 1 okay

Power supply 1 failed

Power supply 2 okay

Power supply 2 failed

Insufficient power supplies operating, this system requires 2 and only has 1

When I do the sh system on that switch, both PS1 and PS2 are OK. The PWR LED on that switch is green, however the RPSU led is orange.

As far as the RPS 300 is concerned, all the LEDs on it are green and the RPS 300 is in Active State.

Can anybody please let me know what's going on?

just a thought, but the minimum software requirements for the Catalyst 2980G-A with the RPS 300 is 6.1(2), can you check if your switch has that software loaded ?

Thanks for your response. We are running 6.3(5) version. This looks like a hardware bug. Is there a list of bugs I can look up?
