SUP720 and OEM cisco compact flash?

Hi,

i tried to use SanDisk 512MB compact flash. But sup doesn't see it. It only reports insertion/removing of card:

Sep 12 09:09:48.856 MET-DST: %FILESYS-SP-5-DEV: PCMCIA flash card inserted into

disk0

but I can't access or format it. I tested same flash in 28xx without any problems.

We used same type of CF but with capacity 256MB in sup 720 too.

Is there any size limit for it?

I'm using IOS on sup.

Thank you for any advice

256MB is the default compact flash size and is not field upgradeable.

(per cisco documentation for SUP32; same as the SUP720)

please see this link for more info:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_qanda_item0900aecd801ff38a.shtml

For clarify: i'm talking about CF to externals slots (disk0: and disk1:).

Thank you for link. But why there is MEM-C6K-CPTFL512M in Cisco's price lists?
