We recently picked up two SupIII's in new chassis - one is working perfectly - the other likes to spontaneously reload every 5-10 hours - the only reason given for the reset according to the console is "system last reset by reload"
We're going to RMA it I think - but thought I would check to see if anyone else had expereinced something like this...
The IOS on it was cat4000-is-mz.121-11b.EW1
Thanks!

I would open a TAC case and have the crash dump examined

Open a TAC case with sh tech and the crashinfo output.
Crashinfo is collected using the command
"more crashinfo:data"
This command supersedes "show platform crashdump"

Hi,
we had the same problem and opened a TAC case. It was a software problem. (I don't have the bugid right now).
We upgraded to the latest version and the problem disappeared. (now 2 months ago)

Thanks for the feedback...that makes me feel a lot better!!!
We were on 12.1(11b)EW1 with the problem in two different chassis...
We went to 12.1(12c)EW1 and the problem certainly did seem to disappear - we didn't dare hope it was really gone - but your confirmation makes me feel a lot better!
If anyone finds the bug number I'd be extremely interested to read it.
Thanks!
