switch: internal fan cool unit

Can anyone tell or give me a link on how the fan cool unit in a e.g. 3550 works? Where does it 'pull' in the cool air and where does the warm air leave the switch?

Is it cool air in from front, and warm air out on back?

Thanks.

hi

This how the cooling process of the whole chasis works in Catalyst 3200 switches.

Two fans, which are located at the side of the switch, cool the interior by drawing air through vents on the other side and forcing heated air out through holes on the fan side.

If the internal temperature exceeds 122°F (50°C), a temperature error is reported to the console.
